மனித மாண்புகள் வளர்க்கும் மரபுக் கலைகள்

இந்தக் கட்டுரை மனித சமூகத்தின் கல்வி முறையை ஆராய்கிறது. “மனித சமூகத்தின் கல்வி முறை என்பது நிறுவனக் கல்வித்துறை (Academic) மட்டுமல்ல; ஒவ்வொரு தனிநபரும் சமூக வாழ்வியலிலிருந்து (Learning through Life) கற்றுக்கொள்வதும் ஆகும். மனிதர்கள் எந்த ஒவ்வொன்றையும் குழுவாக (Collectiveness) இணைந்து நிகழ்த்தி, வாழ்ந்து, செயல்படுவதன் வழியாகக் கற்றுக்கொள்கிறார்கள்” எனக் குறிப்பிடுகிறது.

மேலும் மரபுக் கலைகளின் மேன்மையை ஆராய்ச்சி செய்து, “மரபுக் கலைகள் உடலையும், குரலையும், மனதையும் மையமிட்டு நிகழ்த்தப்படுவதால், கற்றல்–கற்பித்தலில் (Teaching - Learning) முழுமையான (Complete), நிலைத்த (Sustainable), நீடித்த (Long-term) மாற்றத்தை ஏற்படுத்துகின்றன. இவ்வாறான கற்பித்தல் செயல்திட்டங்கள் வழியாக, பள்ளி–கல்லூரிகளில் கற்போரின் உடல்–மன நலன்களை மேம்படுத்துவதோடு, நடத்தையில் மாற்றத்தையும் (Behavior Change) உருவாக்க முடியும்” எனச் சுட்டிக்காட்டுகிறது.

தமிழ் மொழியின் சிறப்பை தமிழிசையோடு ஒப்பிட்டு நோக்கி, “உலக மொழிகளுள் சிறந்து விளங்கும் தமிழ், நீண்ட இலக்கிய–இலக்கண மரபைக் கொண்டது. செவ்வியல் தன்மையோடு பயணப்பட்ட தமிழிசை மரபை உலகம் அறியச் செய்தல் வேண்டும். வாழ்வினாலும், பண்பாட்டாலும், நாகரிகத்தாலும் பெற்ற ‘எல்லாம் எல்லாருக்கும்’; ‘அனைவரும் இணையானவர்கள்’ (All are Equal); ‘பிறப்பொக்கும் எல்லா உயிர்க்கும்’ என்னும் இணைக்கோட்பாடு தமிழ் மொழியிலும், மொழிவழி அமைந்த இசையிலும் அடங்கியுள்ளது” எனத் தெளிவுபடுத்துகிறது.

மேலும், “மெய் (உடல்) வழி பயிற்சிப் பட்டறைகள் நடத்தி, கற்றல்–கற்பித்தல் முறையாக மரபிசையையும் ஆட்டக்கலையையும் நிகழ்த்தும் போது, மாணவர் சமுதாயம் தமிழ் மரபிசை–தமிழ் கலைகள் வழியாக மொழியைக் கற்றுக்கொள்வார்கள். ஆட்டங்களும் இசையும் உடலையும் மனதையும் பக்குவப்படுத்துவதால், மொழி வளமும், உடல் நலனும், மனவளமும் பெறுவார்கள்” என ஒரு வழிமுறையை ஆராய்ந்து பார்க்க நமக்குக் காட்டுகிறது.

முனைவர் ஆ. அழகுசெல்வம்

Dr. Prabhakaran, holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Mathematics . He earned an M.S., Ph.D. in Computer Science, and an MBA. in the USA Dr. Prabhakaran retired after holding senior positions in the private sector and serving at NASA and the US Army.

An active advocate for the Tamil language, literature, and culture, Dr. Prabhakaran has made significant contributions to the welfare of the Tamil community. He has served as President of the Washington Tamil Sangam, Secretary of the Tamil Nadu Foundation, and Vice President of FeTNA. In the Washington, D.C. area, he founded the Tamil Literary Study Group, where he conducted in-depth studies of the Thirukkural and classical Sangam literature. He successfully organized the first International Thirukkural, Purananuru, and Kurunthokai Conferences in the USA. His insightful commentaries on Thirukkural and Sangam literature have been widely shared on blogs, reaching millions of Tamils worldwide.

Dr. Prabhakaran has authored two books on Thirukkural in English: The Ageless Wisdom (As Embodied in Thirukkural) and Valluvar's Answers to Vital Questions. He has also written a Tamil book on Thirukkural. In addition to his works on Thirukkural, he has published detailed commentaries on Purananuru and Kurunthokai , and on all ten poems in Paththupaatu (g¤J¥gh£L). In total, he has written 17 books on Thirukkural and Sangam literature. Dr. Prabhakaran has delivered numerous lectures on these subjects in both India and the USA, further contributing to the global appreciation of Tamil heritage.

Recently, he produced a 30-minute documentary on Thirukkural, the first of its kind, now available on YouTube. This documentary is being translated into Hindi, French, German, Chinese, Spanish, Japanese, and Tamil.
