D. Anitha, | Prof. Dr. B.R. Veeramani

Anitha Dhandayuthabani is a Research Scholar in the Department of Languages at PMIST (Deemed to be University). She completed her B.A. and M.A. in English Literature at A.V.V.M. Sri Pushpam College and obtained her B.Ed. degree from Tamil University. She has teaching experience at Christ International School, where she developed a strong interest in education and student learning. She has completed a course on Student Psychology, which strengthened her understanding of learner behaviour and the psychological dimensions of education. She was an active NSS volunteer and received a Government certificate for her service. She has actively participated in workshops, FDPs, seminars and conferences that have contributed to her academic and professional growth. Her scholarly engagement is reflected in her journal publications and the presentation of research papers at national level conferences organised by various institutions. Her research interests include African literature, postcolonial studies, feminist literary criticism, diaspora studies and contemporary fiction. Her current research focuses on contemporary African literature, particularly the fiction of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, with an emphasis on emotion, identity and human experience. She is pursuing her doctoral research under the guidance of Dr. B. R. Veeramani. She remains committed to teaching, research and continuous scholarly development.

Dr. B.R.Veeramani is a Professor in the Department of Languages at PMIST (Deemed to be University). His experience in higher education, teaching and research spans more than three decades, during which he has made significant contributions to the field of English literary studies. He previously served as Associate Professor of English at A.V.V.M. Sri Pushpam College, where he played a vital role in academic mentoring and research supervision. He is an accomplished scholar with an extensive publication record. He has published numerous research articles in reputed journals and edited several academic volumes. His academic interests also extend to modern Tamil literature, reflecting his engagement with diverse literary and cultural traditions. He has successfully guided doctoral scholars and continues to mentor researchers in diverse areas of English literature. His areas of interests encompass literary criticism, cultural studies, philosophy and interdisciplinary approaches to literary research. Through his scholarly publications, research supervision and active participation in academic activities, he has contributed to the advancement of literary research and academic discourse. His work reflects a sustained commitment to academic excellence, research integrity and the development of emerging scholars in the field of English literature.
